Mohr is Better in Wireless CommunicationsMitch and Mike Mohr are CEA Wireless PioneersCelluphone is the second oldest wireless brand, behind Motorola. Started in 1983 by Mitch Mohr, the company was originally a direct sales organization and the only wireless agent in the western United States. The company sold mobile phones to businesses and the entertainment industry. Fast forward to today, where Celluphone supports more than 2,000 active sub-dealers covering all of California, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas and Missouri. The company provides support to independent wireless retailers. This new sales model is all thanks to the visionary thinking of the Mohr family. Celluphone became the country's first wireless Master Agent and to this day, Verizon Wireless still lists Celluphone as Master Agent A01. Today, Celluphone has evolved under the leadership of Mike Mohr, Mitch's son. As he recently told Wireless Dealer Magazine, "our industry has gone through a lot of changes but none have been greater or more important that what is happening today." Mohr feels innovation will help fuel current and future opportunities for independent wireless retailers. "The best times in wireless may be right ahead of us." CEA would like to congratulate Mitch and Mike Mohr on being named CEA Wireless Pioneers. |
