APPLE Apple’s free recycling program will take back computers and displays regardless of manufacturers, as well as iPods and cell phones. CANON Canon’s mail-in program offers recycling on all of their consumer products. DELL Recycle your old Dell products for free. If you buy a new Dell desktop or notebook and select the free recycling option at the time of purchase, they will recycle your old PC and monitor at no cost to you (even if it isn’t a Dell-branded product). HP HP recycles computer equipment, printing supplies, rechargeable batteries and other items, most for free. IBM IBM offers solutions for the end-of-life management of computer equipment, printer supplies etc. JVC JVC is a member of the Electronic Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM), founded by Panasonic, Sharp, and Toshiba, to collect and recycle electronic products in states with electronic product recycling mandates. JVC's involvement with the MRM currently extends to consumers in Minnesota and Oregon. The MRM is working to implement recycling programs in Connecticut, Hawaii, New Jersey, Rhode Island and West Virginia among other states. LENOVO As part of its product end-of-life management activities, Lenovo offers consumers and/or commercial clients end-of-life management solutions for their computer equipment worldwide through voluntary programs and country programs in which Lenovo participates. LEXMARK Lexmark’s collection programs recycles inkjet and toner cartridges and hardware. NEC NEC's Total Trade program offers cash for pre-owned technology equipment. They also facilitate the removal of non-working equipment as part of the overall trade and ensure regulatory-compliant and environment-friendly disposal. NINTENDO OF AMERICA Nintendo of America provides a free courtesy product Take-Back Program for recycling Nintendo hardware (including any rechargeable batteries that come with handheld systems). NOKIA Nokia recycles your old phone at no charge. Print a postage-paid return label online and send it back. PANASONIC Recycle your Panasonic, Technics or Quasar CE products at no charge through the Panasonic Nationwide Recycling Program. SAMSUNG The Samsung Recycling Direct [SM] program allows recycling of CE and IT products, as well as printer toner and mobile phones. SONY Sony Electronics, in partnership with Waste Management Inc., offers the free “Sony Take Back” recycling program accepting small electronics of any brand at Sony GreenFill e-Recycle drop boxes located in participating retail locations. SHARP Sharp offers recycling options through the Electronic Manufacturers Recycling Management Company as well as battery recycling through the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation and toner recycling through Sharp directly. TOSHIBA Toshiba offers free recycling of all Toshiba notebooks, gigabeat® MP3 players and packaging as well as low-cost recycling options for other manufacturer laptops and consumer electronics products. VIZIO VIZIO has partnered with the Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM) to assist with collections efforts in the United States. Retailer Take-Back ProgramsBEST BUYInside the door of every single U.S. Best Buy store, recycling drop-off kiosks are available for consumers to drop off old cell phones,rechargeable batteries and ink-jet cartridges at no cost. Also recycles appliances and offers mail-in cellphone recycling and a recycling grant program. COSTCO Provides free recycling services of any brand of used computers,monitors, laptops, printers, faxes, MP3 players, game systems,cameras/camcorders and smartphones/PDAs through a mail-back program. Those who send items with "trade-in-value" will receive a Costco gift certificate. You do not need to be a member to use this service. Materials are not accepted at Costco retail locations. CRUTCHFIELD Crutchfield and CExchange® have teamed together so you can easily get value out of the equipment you no longer use. Appraise your items online and send them in. CExchange even pays for the shipping. Their environmentally friendly policy means that none of your old equipment will end up in the landfill. RADIOSHACK RadioShack offers options for recycling batteries and cell phones, trading in used electronics for store credit, and recycling options that vary state-by-state. OFFICE DEPOT Accepts any brand of used electronics provided that they are not cracked or leaking. Items must be able to fit within one of their three boxes (the largest box is 14″x18″x18″, which is big enough for a monitor, but not a large television). The box must be purchased for $5, $10, or $15 depending on the size of the box. The filled box can then be left at the store for recycling. STAPLES Accepts any brand of used computers, monitors, laptops, printers, faxes and all-in-ones for recycling at any of its stores for a $10 per large item fee.
